Yu-Fu gained both a BSc and an MSc in Chemistry from the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, a PG Diploma in Economics from the University of Warwick in 1993, and both an MSc and a PhD in Economics from Birkbeck College, University of London in 1994 and 1997. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Economic Studies at the University of Dundee
